In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, our family & the folks here in Coney Island would like to give thanks for all of the help we have received the first few weeks. We are eternally grateful for all support and commitment during this

trying time.

The boardwalk took us 3 weeks to get the sand off & is now open to the public.

The Coney Island Dancers - a well-known organization in the community are a group of adults who volunteer and care about Coney Island.

Within the last few years Rican Vargas, (Commander-in-Chief) has organized and lead the C.I.D. movement in a different direction. My goal is to heighten Autism Awareness and remove the 'Warriors' image, replacing it with the Coney Island Dancers image, a positive image, a happy image for my community.
This underground organization that looks for no glory other than the well-being of the community has stepped up to the plate with a new clean-up program which we have dubbed, “the Cool Hand Luke program”.
This is a joint effort of three different entities: the
Parks Department (Mike Super), the Coney Island Development
Corporation (Nate Bliss), and the District Attorney’s office
(Alexander Gurevich).
The Coney Island Dancers is a small DJ business that plays disco
music, house music, funk, and soul on the boardwalk during the
summer for free every Thursdays, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Our company is looking toward this summer 2013 with new ideas.
My organization has become the undisputed TOP PROMOTER of CONEY ISLAND.

C.I.D. WAS ALSO FORMED FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING THE DANCERS WITH QUALITY PARTIES AND SUPPORTING THE COMMUNITY. WE ARE INVOLVED WITH HELPING SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN, ESPECIALLY THOSE WITH AUTISM. WE HAVE BEEN ON THE BEACH SINCE 1996, DANCING TO THE SOUNDS OF HOUSE MUSIC, FUNK, SOUL, & DISCO. OUR SUMMER SEASON (FREE PARTIES ON THE CONEY ISLAND BOARDWALK) USUALLY STARTS IN MAY & NOW ENDS IN OCTOBER. DURING THE SUMMER WE INTERVIEW NEW MEMBERS. IF YOU QUALIFY YOU WILL RECEIVE ACCESS INTO OUR WINTER PARTIES.
NONMEMBERS MAY ATTEND HOWEVER, WE WILL BE SELECTIVE. THIS IS TO ENSURE THAT OUR PARTIES ARE EXCLUSIVE AND SAFE. THIS IS IN THE TRADITION OF THE GREAT UNDERGROUND CLUB, PARADISE GARAGE, WHICH THE FOUNDER OF CID HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF JOINING IN THE 70'S.
